7th November 2025 – Siloton Limited, a UK Quantum MedTech start-up, has been awarded an Innovate UK “Contract for Innovation” (CFI) worth £703,858 to develop a roadmap to enter the NHS by 2030, meeting the requirements of Quantum Mission 3.
The funding is part of a £14m competition stimulating the transition of quantum technologies into commercially available products. Siloton was one of three MedTech companies targeting Mission 3 to be awarded funding, with other projects targeting applications including mining, navigation, and communications.
The 7-month project will include detailed planning across medical device regulation, health economics, clinical trials, commercial go-to-market, and partnering, in conjunction with technical feasibility demonstrations. The resultant output will be integrated into a roadmap to enter the NHS with Siloton’s quantum-photonic-integrated-circuit (QPIC) eye scanner by 2030.
The CFI is part of a two-phase activity, and it is believed that companies will bid to deliver their roadmap with Phase 2 funding.
